What is Autism?
Autism is a developmental disability and spectrum disorder, also referred to as ASD, which includes a very big range of conditions characterized by certain challenges involving social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech & nonverbal communication. ASD is often accompanied by medical challenges, sensory challenges, and mental health challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, opposition, and depression. Currently 1 in 54 children in the US are affected by autism.
