The world needs you at your best, especially right now. Where focus goes your energy flows. Does your daily energy sustain your mental and physical needs? Or are you in a place of drain and strain? Is your daily rhythm serving you? Is it offering you a peaceful flow? If it isn’t serving you, well here is a bit of good news. A new season is just up ahead. I don’t know about you, but I am longing for cooler weather, fall festivities, & the upcoming holiday traditions. A new season means we have an opportunity to revisit what is working now and what could work a bit better. The covid experience has definitely caused a lot of excess stress and emotional strain as we long to hug our loved ones, visit our friends, and return to the familiar normal life we experienced in 2019. 2020 has been a tough year for us all. I encourage you to take a moment to look at what has actually gone right this year. What is working well now? What gratitude can you give today? While we are all adjusting to new school and work routines and regulations, one thing is certain. We are all doing the best we can. Give yourself grace on the hard days, and look forward to the good days still to come. How are you positioning yourself (your mind, your body, your routines) to welcome change this season? Where is your focus and energy flowing now? And where do you want it to flow? I welcome September. There is comfort in knowing that tomorrow can be better. Wishing you all a happy month of transition and I want to encourage you to stay the course of becoming the best version of you. Take action if there is something you feel you need to do. Call a friend, redo your morning routine, make time for self-care, be compassionate on hard days, talk to God, say a prayer for a loved one, treat your body better with exercise & nutrition, drink more water, bake cookies, take a walk, make time to listen to music….whatever the better version of you is longing for, take action. Next year is coming. It will be here before we know it, just like the new month starting today, and new season coming our way.
